Obituary of David Richard Pilgrim

Mr. David Richard Pilgrim

December 26, 1941 – April 21, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Richard Pilgrim at the Palliative Care Unit  of Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on April 21, 2026 at the age of 84.

David was best known for his music and entertainment back in the day with the Dipsey Doodlers and Cleve Best. He had the ability to play any musical instrument including the guitar, harmonica, fiddle and the Accordion. He was a miner with the Bait Verte Mines and Hope Brook. He enjoyed a good game of cards and phone calls from his buddy Gerry.

David was predeceased by his parents, daughter Charlene, 14 brothers and sisters and nephew Gary.

He leaves to mourn his sister Florizel, son Dwayne, nephews Darrell and Ted, niece Sharon, his Best Friend Irma, her children Mark (Ashley), Nyle (Willie) and his Best Friend Gerry.

As per David’s request cremation has taken place and there will be a private family graveside service on Friday, April 24 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Madonna Boone officiating at the United Church Townsite Cemetery Corner Brook. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were privileged to have known him.
