AUGUSTUS FRAZER RICH
JANUARY 28, 1966 – APRIL 24, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Augustus Frazer Rich announce his sudden and unexpected passing on April 24, 2026 at his home in Rigolet at the age of 60 years.
Frazer was born to Guido Rich and Joice Allen (Lucy) on January 28, 1966 in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Frazer worked as a heavy equipment operator and, for the past 20+ years, as a fisherman harvesting shrimp, crab and cod. He well known for his generosity and kind heart. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if he could help you in any way. Frazer had also battled health issues for the past number of years related to heart and breathing (COPD).
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: his daughter Natasha: his sons-Guido (Sherri), Mike. Grandchildren; Cameron, Shane, Sebastien, Clyde, Violet, Kaeden, Grayson, Mariah, Landon, Samuel, Ashton, AJ, Zayden. He also leaves behind his sisters Lottie and April (Andre); his brothers: Arnold, Rory, Everett (Marina) and stepfather Oswald. Also, a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Frazer was predeceased by his parents, Guido Rich and Joice Allen (Lucy); his grandparents, Issac & Mary Rich and Steven & Elizabeth Tooktoshina; his brothers Patrick Rich, Johnny Rich and Farren Allen; and his daughters: Melinda Sue Rich & Anita Rich.
Funeral will take place Monday, April 27th officiated by Rev. Sarah Baikie and Jennifer Michelin.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses at the local clinic, clinic staff, DHSD home support workers, Shelly Wolfrey, Carly Blake & Melissa Sheppard, Chad Rose for being the friend who always helped and looked out for him, and to those who assisted in preparing his grave.
