Victoria “Vicki” Clarke
May 3, 1949 – April 24, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vicki Clarke (nee Gushue) on April 24, 2026.
Vicki was born and raised in Corner Brook. She had the greatest sense of humor and her quick wit was unsurpassed. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. To her, family was everything.
Vicki and Jerry were inseparable. Married for 54 years, you rarely saw one without the other. They were truly partners and best friends. She was immensely proud of her son Paul and Tammy was like a daughter. Her grandchildren, Hannah and Jacob, were the lights in her eyes. Rarely could you have a conversation with Vicki without hearing what Hannah and Jake were up to. She loved to talk about her grandchildren and their many achievements. Her days always started with Paul's morning phone call and she always knew of Tammy's crazy antics with their dog, Sapper.
Vicki was very talented and enjoyed many crafts including quilting, crocheting, and knitting.
Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jerry, her son Paul, daughter-in-law Tammy (Felix), and grandchildren Hannah and Jacob. Brothers: Tim (Barb), and Geoff. Sisters: Gerri and Jackie (Michael) and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She was predeceased by her parents, Josef and Loma Gushue (Hynes), sister Penny and brother Nick.
As per her request, there will be no visitation or service at this time.
The family would like to thank the staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their kindness and compassion in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be welcomed
