Yvonne Lorraine Young (nee Butt)

June 9, 1944- April 30, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Yvonne Young announce her peaceful passing, surrounded by her loving family, at home on April 30th, 2026 at the age of 81 years.
Yvonne was born and raised in Mount Moriah, where she spent her life in her family home, making memories with those near and dear to her and those who came through the “field”. She was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Curling and spent countless hours volunteering her time and singing in the choir. She looked forward to her weekly trips up the road to bingo and travelling around to see friends and family. Yvonne spent countless hours knitting, crocheting, reading, playing solitaire and keeping in touch with everyone on her iPad. She was an avid baker and could often be found in the kitchen whipping up a meal or a batch of her famous walnut squares. Yvonne loved unconditionally and always wore a smile, no matter the circumstance, bringing warmth and comfort to everyone who knew her.
