Wallace Ethelbert Coles

November 24, 1941 - May 3, 2026

It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Wallace E.  Coles of Castor River South announce his passing on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre, at the age of 84 years, surrounded by family.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Imelda, daughters:  Ruth (Spike), Becky, Shirley (John), Susie (Gerard), Patsy (Randell), Norma, Iris (Brian); son Henry (Delores); grandkids:  Dana and family, Fabian and family, Paula, Alice and family, Gina and family, Samantha and  family, Savannah and family, Henry and family, Tony and family, Veronica and family, Troy and family, Ashley, Gerard and family, Robert and family, Dylan and family, Nico and family and Mackenzie; Sisters:  Melvina, Trudy and Elizabeth; brothers:  Semore, Curling and George; special brother-in-law Joseph.

Wallace is predeceased by:  parents Elias and Goldie Coles; brothers Leslie Coles and Lance Coles; sisters:  Olive Way, Annie Coles; brothers-in-law:  Walter Rumbolt, Uriah Rumbolt; sister-in-law Loretta Piercey and grandson Frederick Tatchell.

Wallace was one of the greatest men to walk this earth.  He was kind-hearted, patient  and a loving husband.  He came into a family of eight children and took on the role of being a father and later grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.  He was a hard worker and didn't mind an honest days work.  He worked in Ontario at the Simmons Mattress Factory and later came home to fish with his brother until he retired.  The fishing way of life was a huge part of who he was.  Wallace was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed help anytime day or night from taking someone to the hospital to taking the grandkids to their friends house and picking them up.  He loved to spend time with family and friends whether it was playing cards, enjoying a Christmas Day with everyone showing up to viist to just sitting and chatting.

He will be forever missed by his wife and family, his sisters, his brothers, grandkids and by all who knew him.

As per his wishes, cremation has take place
