Dale Elaine Park

(nee Blanchard)

August 31, 1953 – May 13, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Elaine Park (nee. Blanchard) on the morning of May 13th, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Dale leaves to mourn Wallace, her loving husband of 55 years. Dale was Wallace's absolute world; together, they showed the true meaning of love and companionship and built a lifetime of irreplaceable moments.

She also leaves to mourn her children, Paulette (Lloyd), Wally (Erin), Robby (Mandy) and her daughter-in-law, Brenda. Also left to mourn are her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Noah (Emily), Holly, Rachel, Braydon, and Paige; her sister, Judith (Marvin); her brothers, Rick (Delphine), Carl (Angela), and Michael (Shirley); her brother-in-law Wade (Darlene), and sister in-law Debbie. Dale also leaves behind her sisters and brother-in-law; Wayne (Peggy), Vonnie (Joe), Eunice (Luke), and Linda (Clyde). She also leaves behind a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Rodney and Mona Blanchard, as well as her siblings, Ken, Marie, Arlene, and Gary.

Dale was a whirlwind of energy; she lived life running circles around people half her age. Her expressive voice made every story an unforgettable one. She also spent her entire life putting others before herself, always thinking of the needs and happiness of those around her. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she loved them immensely. She carried their worries as her own, offering endless support.

Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, often filled with the sweet aroma of freshly baked treats. She especially loved baking chocolate chip cookies, making sure the cookie jar was always full for her grandchildren. Those simple moments brought her great happiness and created lasting memories for all who were lucky enough to share them.

She also found joy in the little things, especially a lively game of bingo, a pastime she truly cherished. The word “bingo” was one of her favourites, often spoken with a smile and a spark of excitement that was unmistakably hers.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care, with special thanks to Dr. Lafferty and Dr. Penney for their guidance and support.

As per Dale’s request, a cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care Unit.
