It is with great sadness that the family of the late Christine Nuna announce her passing May 21st, 2026, at a private residence in Sheshatshiu, NL, at the age of 70 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Wayne, Patricia, Peter, Johnny, George, Pien Daniel, and Draper and her granddaughter: Asia; grandchildren: Sebastian G, Gavinis, Shaun, Nathan, Jocelyn, Tina A, Peter J, Hunter, Israel, Shimun, Calvin, Kristian, Joshua, Joachim, Philip, Donovan, Zoey and Zuri; great grandchildren: AJ, Dreyah, Karlene, Mateo, Quinn, Quinn, Rylen, Kayla, Tapit, Ty, Joelyna, Tyra, and Debwewin; great great grandson: Tydus; sisters: Mary Anne Abraham, Francis Nui, Annie Rich, Judy Penunsi, and Madeline Penunsi; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Christine was predeceased by her husband: Sebastien; birth parents: John Baptiste and Alice Penunsi; adopted mom: Mary Anne Selma; grandchild: Kayla; brothers: Dominic and Sebastien; and sister: Germaine Rich.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, from 7:00-9:00 pm.

A wake will be held on Sunday, May 24th, 2026, at 2 Coronation Street, Sheshatshiu starting at 4:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 25th, 2026, from the Roman Catholic Church, Sheshatshiu, starting at 1:00pm with Father Joe officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
