Obituary of Melvin Bruce Cross
It is with great sadness the family of the late Melvin Bruce Cross wish to announce his passing on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit in his 88th year.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Wavey; two daughters: Debbie (Ray) McDevitt and Rosie (Bob) Hobbs; one son, Jim (Tracy); seven grandchildren: Amanda, Krissy, Wendy, Greg, Jon, Dylan, and Stacey; two sisters: Jane (Bob) Wilton and Lillian (late Russell) Reid; also a large circle of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was pre-deceased by sisters Beulah, Dorothy, Gladys, Marion, Verna, Marg, Grace, Julia, Pat, Gertie, Brenda and Diane; brothers Cyril, Eugene, Edward and Don.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Edmonton, AB in early July and a funeral service will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Deer Lake in late August, with an interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
