Lydia "Tina" Clarke

1943-2026

With tender hearts and immense sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Lydia (Tina) Clarke nee Critch on Sunday, June 21, 2026 in the wonderful care of Birchview House at Western Long Term Care Corner Brook.
 

Leaving to mourn her eldest son Christopher (Natasha), grandson Nicholas, granddaughter Hannah (Connor) MacDiarmid and great-granddaughters Charlotte and Nora; youngest son Brian (Deanna) and grand-dog Renney. Brothers and sisters: Ruby (Jerry) Erickson, Lloyd (Georgina) Critch,  Helen Critch, Austin (Bev) Critch, Sharon (Roger) Dove. Also left in mourning, brothers and sisters in law Shirley (Wayne) Tilton, Robert (Bernice) Clarke, and Phyllis (Dave) Walsh, Wayne Burton and Jessie Critch. Tina also leaves behind a loving family of nieces and nephews, and cousins on both the Critch and Clarke sides. Adding to shared grief in her passing, dear friends that made a life time of beautiful memories in a life well lived.
 

Tina is predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Guy, parents Mark and Elsie Critch,  sisters Joyce, Fran and Jean, brothers Robert and Selby, nephew Linden.
 

We would be remiss not to mention the multitude of nursing colleagues and students that Tina worked with and mentored during a storied nursing career, sharing her knowledge and compassion. We share in your grief.
 

We would like to pass our thanks to the staff of Mountainview Estates for the care they provided to Tina during her stay. We would like to acknowledge the staff of 5B Western Memorial Regional Hospital for the care and kindness in her days there. And to the staff of Birchview House, Western Long Term Care: we cannot express our appreciation for the kindness, the care and the compassion provided to Tina from the time she started her journey there to her final hours in your care. We are forever indebted to you all.
 

We are forever grateful for the care and friendship from Tina's home support worker, Tawnya Solo. We so appreciate all the care, support and kindness you provided to Tina during your time together.
 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home. Visitation on Friday, June 26, 1-4 pm with a celebration of life at 6 pm in the chapel, Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue. Flowers graciously accepted. Donations can be directed to the Parkinson Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. Many thanks to the staff of Fillatre's Funeral Home for their compassion at this most difficult of times.
