It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gary Joseph Cormier announce his passing on Wednesday, July 1st at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, NL at the age of 67 years.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, Children: Serena Gabriel, Gilford, Ontario, Adrean Lasaga (granddaughter Lilith), Stephenville, Gary Webb, Cold Lake, Alberta; sisters: Olive (George Long), St. Teresa’s, Judy (Max Burchell ), Geraldine, Journois, Janet, Ruby, Patricia all of Stephenville, Ivy of Robinsons; brothers: Corn (Joan), St. Teresa’s, Robert, Stephenville, Shawn (Phyllis), Summerside, P.E.I, Hubert, Kippens; brother – in – law, Vince Perrier as well many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Gary was known for his sense of humor, funny jokes, and card tricks. He was friendly, kind, loving to everyone who knew him, always giving a helping hand if he could. Even at the end of days on this earth, he was still telling jokes and laughing. Gary will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents: Cornelius & Gladys; brother, Randy; sisters: Bertha, Linda, Marina, Georgina and Clara; sister – in- law, Beatrice and brother – in – law, Bradley.
The Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, July 8th at 10am from St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Flat Bay with Father Edmund Dantes officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery, St. Teresa’s.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to The St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
