1955 – 2026

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Deborah (Debbie) Morris announce her passing on Tuesday, July 7th at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville at the age of 70.She will be forever missed and deeply mourned by her daughters; Jennifer &Tracy, granddaughter, Sarah Piccott (Eugene Alexander) ; great-grandchildren: Dakotah, Peyton, and Paige; special friend, Walter Young and his son Jonathon; special niece Roxanne MacIsaac & family; brother -in- law Eugene Young; sisters-in- law: Laverne Swyers and Alice Swyers as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and much loved fur baby, Lucky.

Debbie was a kind and caring woman who enjoyed a good game of darts at anytime. When her illness came along it took her away from doing the very thing she loved, her dart game and all her dart family. While she could not continue,she always kept hope she one day could return.She enjoyed entertaining the family meals and gatherings with of biggest feeds,the dinner table will not be the same without her delicious food and her special fruitcake that has become a family favorite.

Debbie is predeceased by her husband, Fred Morris ; parents: Richard and Sarah Swyers; brothers: Calvin, Gerald, Neil, Brian & Brendan; sisters:Marjorie, Lorraine and Joanne;in-laws- Lloyd and Hilda Morris; sisters-in- law  Hazel Morris and Wilfreda Swyers.In respecting Debbie’s wishes cremation will take place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 10am from the St.Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Heatherton with Father Joseph officiating. Interment to follow at the old church cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Heatherton.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 37 West Street, Stephenville Crossing. The family guestbook may be signed at www.fillatre.ca
