BABSTOCK L. Joyce July 26, 1913 - January 7th, 2006 In her 93rd year, Joyce Babstock passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 7th, 2006. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughter Florence Hayter (Gary), Corner Brook; grandsons: Steve (Andrea), California; Craig, Corner Brook; Jonathan, North Carolina; granddaughter Alison, Montreal; brother Harlan Lawrence, Corner Brook; sisters: Rose Read, Vancouver, Vera Crocker, St. John's and Joan Weir, Perth, Ontario. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joyce was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Owen in 1990. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook on Monday and Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 11th at 2:00 PM from the First United Church, Park Street with Mr. David Mitchell officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Pallative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
