It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mae Mary McKay announce her passing on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing, NL at the age of 90 years.  She will be forever missed and loved by her Children Tony McKay, Debbie (Brian) Mayes, and Shirley (Fred) Duffenais, Her Grandchildren; Robert, Travis, Ryan, Erin, Craig and Danielle plus her 5 Great Grandchildren.

 

She was pre-deceased by her husband Raymond, her son Donald, her parents George and Jessie Hannon, her brothers; Reginald, Alphonsus, Ronald, Edward, Everette and Robert Hannon, and her sisters Ruth Young and Margorie Bennett

 

Mae was a store clerk for many years along with being a great homemaker.  She loved to cook, bake and knit.  She was a volunteer and a part of the Anglican Church Women’s Association.  In keeping with Mae’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 17th at 10:00 am in the All Saints Anglican Church in Stephenville Crossing with interment to follow at the All Saints Anglican Cemetery on Seal Cove Road.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Anglican Church in Stephenville Crossing.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
