CAINES MABEL Port au Choix, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mabel Caines announce her passing on Friday, May 29th, 2009 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter: Augustine (Primus) Caines, Ontario; sons: Aime (Margaret), Ontario, Emedee (Gertrude), Port Saunders, Stanley “Skip”, Port au Choix, Stewart (Janet), Port au Choix, Edgar, Port au Choix and Dennis (Carol ann), Port Saunders; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers: Aime, Montreal, Adelor, Montreal and Frank, St. Barbe; sisters: Laura, Montreal, Mary, Port au Choix and Emily, Port au Choix. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, 1996 and grandson Jeremy, 1988. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m. from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Port au Choix with Monsignor Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
