It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clyde Gallant announce his sudden passing on April 6, 2021 at the Palliative Care unit in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 80 years. Clyde spent his final moments holding the hand of his beloved wife of 18 years.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, the love of his life, his wife Rose (LeRiche), stepdaughter Tara Harvey (Vincent); grandchildren Rebecca and William; Special great-niece, light of his life, Charlotte Gallant, whom he loved deeply; Special nephew Maury Gallant and his wife Crystal.
Clyde also leaves to mourn sisters, Callista Eldridge, Jane Brake (Ches), Martha Hackett (Tom), Madonna Joyce, and Philomena Gallant-Vater (Enos); Brothers, Alban (Marie), Guy (Cecilia), Kurm, Edmund, Stephen (Caroline), closest to heart brother Gerard (Linda), and Donald (Judy). Sister-in-law Jane Gallant; Brother’s in-law Edward LeRiche (Angie), Art LeRiche (Carolanne) and John LeRiche (Darlene). Special friends, Florence and Jim Cox and a large circle of nephews, nieces, family, friends and Godchild, Angela Gallant-Kendall. Clyde was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Cecilia Gallant, brother Basil, brother-in-law Junior Eldridge, sisters in-law Rowena and Bertha Gallant, nephews Wesley and Jeffrey Gallant.
Clyde was well known for his quiet and gentle nature. He enjoyed his long walks to John’s beach, puzzle books, and playing cards. He spent his life fishing along side his brothers and on boats across the Atlantic Provinces.

Granting Clyde’s wishes cremation has taken place at Humber Valley crematorium. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private funeral service and burial will take place at a later date.
