Walter Gordon Barry

February 17, 1949 - April 8, 2021

St. George's (Formerly of Corner Brook)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter Gordon Barry announce his passing on Thursday, April 8th, 2021 at his residence at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Christine (nee Pike) of 52 years; son, Walter Jr. (Lori), Pinchgut Lake; daughters: Yvonne (Kevin) Baldwin, Corner Brook and Melissa (Andrew) Glode, Frederickton, NB; grandchildren: Dillon, Vanessa, Katlyn, Jessica, Whitney and Joshua; sisters: Patricia Hanrahan, Marystown; Paulette (Raymond) Melanson, Burks Falls, ON, Christina Barry, Fort McMurray, AB and Rozalyn (Larry) Longaphie, Lac LaBiche, AB; special friends Jeanette and Brian Simon, Black Duck,as well as his beloved pet  Abby, and  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Ruby Barry, brothers Ernest and Raymond; sisters Yvonne and Ruby Ann and grandson John.

Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private family viewing on Saturday from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling street, followed by a private Memorial service on Sunday, April 11th  from Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel, St. Marks Avenue with Fr. Jim Robertson officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia cemetry.
