With sadness, and appreciation for a life well lived and loved, the family of Louise Hines announces her passing on Monday, April 19th, 2021. She leaves behind Kevin, her husband of 57 years, her children Patti (Calvin), John, Heather (Jeff) and Sandie (Kevin), grandchildren Lauren and Cameron, her brothers Richard, Jack (Theresa) and Kevin (Gertrude), brother-in-law William, sisters-in-law Doreen and Jean (Richard), brother-in-law Gary, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Louise was predeceased by her parents Stephen and Zita McDonnell, her sister Elaine and her sister-in-law Phyllis.
Due to current health guidelines, a private funeral mass will be held at St.Joseph’s Church in St.George’s on Friday, April 23rd at 10: 00 a.m. When permitted, Louise’s family will invite friends and the community to gather to celebrate her life.
At this time, Louise’s family would like to thank Dr.Armstrong, Dr.Dwyer, Dr.Kellow, Dr.Habashi, Dr.Lewis, Dr.McComisky, Bev McIsaac, NP., the nursing staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Community Health Nurses Shauna and Katie, and the staff at St.George’s Pharmacy. Heartfelt gratitude is also extended to family and friends whose generosity will never be forgotten. To Stephanie, Theresa, Mary, Amy and Anne Marie- your love and support will remain with our family forever.
Who can forget seeing Louise frying toutons for the Blueberry Festival, or selling the fudge/candy apples she made for the Fall Fair. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St.Joseph’s Parish Catholic Women’s Guild- an organization for which Louise worked tirelessly.
