It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joy Ruth Ball announce her passing on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Carbonear General Hospital at the age of 73 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sisters: Maxine Chaulk, Sophie Ball, Peggy Caines, Margaret (Pleaman) Manuel and Ellen Ball; brother Scott Ball; daughter Jennifer and her family; brother-in-law Edward King; aunt Edith Roberts; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Scott and Ethel Ball, sisters Valetta King, Yvonne Ball and Louise Thomas, sister-in-law Carol Ball; brothers-in-law John Caines, Dempsey Call, John Chaulk and Melvin Thomas. A private family visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake. A private family funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Bennett Avenue on Saturday, April 24, 2021 with Pastor Jeffrey White officiating. Interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
