Obituary of Alva Ricketts

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alva Ricketts announce her passing at Western Long-Term Palliative Care on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the age of 53 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her common-law spouse of 18 years Stewart Gillingham; daughter April; mother Marie; siblings: Marion (Brent) of Ontario, Ken (Roz) of Deer Lake, Joan (Arnold) of Ontario, Wallace (Susan) of Ontario and Joe (Rita) of Ontario; mother-in-law Jemina; plus numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her father Hubert Ricketts; sister Neta; father-in-law Clarence Gillingham; brother-in-law Warrick.

Visitation and the funeral to a maximum of 50 people in compliance with Covid-19 Government restrictions (facemask and physical distancing required).  To attend the funeral please contact Roz Elliott Ricketts by Facebook messenger. Visitation will take place at the Pentecostal Church, Sops Arm on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 7-9 pm and the funeral service will take place at 2pm on May 6, 2021 with Pastor Troy Seabright and Pastor Jared Oxford officiating. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Sops Arm. As expressions of sympathy a donation may be made in trust to Alva’s daughter April.
