Obituary of Calvin Eugene Manuel
It is with sadness that the family of the late Calvin Eugene Manuel announce his passing Friday, May 14, 2021 at Corner Brook Long Term Care, at the age of 88 years.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 67 years, Gwen; children: Lois (Jim) Green, Dianne (Christopher) Alexander, Brian (Olive) Manuel, Sandra Parsons; Grandchildren: Laura (Trevor), Matthew (Melissa), Nancy (Paul), Jonathan (Paniz), Susan (Luke), Kimberly (Brendan), Tyler (Heather), Amanda (Thomas); Great-grandchildren: Ashley, Evan, Emma, Finn, Noah, Amelia, Juliet, Brooke, Avalin; Sister Mottee (Bryant) Green, as well a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Sandy and Hazel Manuel and baby son Peter.
Visitation to a maximum of 20 people at a time in compliance with Covid-19 restrictions will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive on Sunday, May 16th, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm., (facemasks and physical distancing required). A private Family Funeral service will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Monday, May 17th, 2021 at 2pm by invitation only, with Rev. Myles Vardy officiating. Interment to follow at the DL Interdenominational Cemetery on Wights Road, Deer Lake.
The family would like to thank the staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care for the great care and compassion they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to St. Paul’s United Church, Deer Lake.
