ALBERT PECKFORD Corner Brook, NL WWII Veteran Merchant Marine It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert Peckford announce his passing on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 at the Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sisters-in -law: Mary Lundrigan and Murial Lundrigan; nieces and nephews: Bobby Wellon (Fern), Philip Lundrigan (Elaine), Renee Sherstobetoff (Keith), Lisa Kelly (Gene), Larry Lundrigan, Linda McAree (Marc), Lori Ray (Peter), Sheena Astolfo (Tony), Geri McLnemey ( Damian ); special grand nieces: Andrea Williams (Barry and Erica), Rhonda Langille (Mike and Jacob), as well as other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife Rita, June 28th, 2006; nephews; Ted and Rudy Wellon; Tommy Lundrigan; parents: Stephen and Fanny Peckford; brothers-in-law: Philip (P.I) and Tommy Lundrigan; sisters-in-law: Annie Lundrigan and Fanny Wellon. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Marks Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26th, at 11:00 A.M from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street, followed by interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Dean Michael Rice and Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. John The Evangelist Cathedral Fund.
