It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Blackwood announce his passing on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Western Long Term Care Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook, at the age of 92 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Richard (Fran) Blackwood of Pasadena, Patricia (Bern) Seaward of Corner Brook; Grandchildren: Tracey, Darren, Bradley, Kelly, John and Scott; Great-grandchildren: Sarah, Anna, Lucy, Jessica, Samantha, Brendan, Rachael, Elizabeth, Scarlett and Stella; his sister-in-law Marion Blackwood of Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. George was predeceased by his wife Bride Blackwood, his daughter Pauline Blackwood, and his parents Richard and Elise Blackwood.
As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no funeral service, a private family burial is set to take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery on Friday, June 4, 2021.
