It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cyril Lewis Hinks announce his passing on Friday, July 2 2021 at the Western Palliative Care Unit at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Monique (Ted), Trevor (Christine), Derrick (Stephanie) and Donna (Terry) Simms Brake; the mother of his children, Doris Bingle; his grandchildren: Amanda (Aaron), Shane (Laura), Bradley (Matthew), Jorja, Tyler (Olivia), Hailey and Nathan; his great-grandchildren: Cameron, Riley, Logan, Macie, Jack and Lexie; brothers and sisters: Jim (Grace), Ted (Pauline), Elsie (Art), Beverley, Nora (Earle) and Sandra (Frank). He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Florence Hinks. A public visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday, July 4 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. a maximum of 25 people in the building at once. Funeral service will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday, July 5 at 2:00 p.m. to a maximum of 45 people with Reverend Tanya White officiating. Face masks and social distancing required. No flowers by request of the family. Donations can be made to the Western Palliative Care Unit or to a charity of one’s choice.
