Obituary for the late Grace Ann Voisey

January 29, 2005 - July 6, 2021

It Is with great sadness that the family of Grace Ann Voisey announce her passing at the Janeway Children’s hospital on July 6, 2021 at age 16 after her battle with leukaemia. Grace will be remembered for her unrelenting strength and her positive attitude over this past year. Her family and friends know her as a warrior and despite her diagnosis always had time to laugh and bring joy into our lives. 

Grace leaves to mourn her parents, Jason and DeeDee Voisey, her siblings Juliette Whalen, Ryan Voisey and Robbie Cadwell. Her maternal grandparents Sherri and Jim Saunders and her paternal grandfather George Voisey along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be missed by all her friends and she had a lot of them!

She is predeceased by her grandmother Mary Voisey, her great grandmother Florence Tobin, her great grandmother “Big Gram” Rhoda Voisey, and great uncle Andrew Piercy. 

Our family want to say a huge thank you to Janeway Hospital J4 Med staff, the Paediatric Oncology team and the Paediatric ICU staff.  Your dedication and care for Grace does not go unnoticed.

There will be family visitation at the funeral home on Friday, July 9, from 2-4 pm. There will also be family and friend visitation on Friday July 9, from 6-8 pm and again on Saturday, July 10 from 2-5 pm. 

Her Celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, July 11 at 2pm from Bethel Pentecostal church with Reverends Kimberly and Jonathan Beers officiating.   Due to COVID 19 government regulations the funeral service is by invitation only.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Candlelighters of NL or Ronald McDonald House. Flowers are also welcome.
