Harold Maxwell Howell

Stephenville Crossing, NL

November 28, 1936 – July 8, 2021

 

Harold “Max” Howell passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 8th, 2021 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in his 84th year.  He will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life of 59 years Doris “nee Bishop”, his daughters Lisa (David) McFatridge of Fort McMurray, AB, Susan Howell (Ron Pieroway) Stephenville Crossing, NL and Leah (James) Puff, Saint John, NB, his grandchildren that he was so proud of: Robinson McFatridge (Meagan), Stephenville Crossing, NL, Jessica McFatridge (Adam) Fort McMurray, AB, Victoria, Olivia and Logan Puff, Saint John, NB.  His blessings of his great grandchildren Kayden, Jack & Everleigh McFatridge and Ariana Firmage.  His brothers Roy (Pauline) Howell, Ron (Jean) Howell, his sisters Dorothy Kennedy, Glenda (John)Langer, his sister in laws Vera (Robert) Sexton, Shirley Bishop all of Corner Brook, and Ruby Bishop Ryan of BC.

 

He was predeceased by his parents Claude & Irene Howell, brother Woodrow Howell and sister Jean Jewer, his In-Laws Harvey & Lavinia Bishop, brother in laws Raymond & Harvey Bishop, his sister in law Norma Warren and his special life long friend John Osmond.

 

Dad worked for Browning Harvey and enjoyed selling and promoting Pepsi.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed lots of good times at his cabin over the years.  He loved lots of fun and laughs with his grandchildren.  As we all know a lot of people often called him “The Pepsi Man”, so the next time you crack open an ice-cold Pepsi, Top up and say “Cheers to Max”!

 

Our family would like to say a special Thanks to the Nurses and Doctors on the 4th Floor in Corner Brook and to the Nurses and Doctors on Medicine in Stephenville.

 

Viewing will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing on Sunday July 11th from 2-4 pm with a maximum of 10 people in the building at one time, masks must be worn at all times, sanatize and sign in on arrival.  The second viewing will be on Monday July 12th from 2-4 pm with a maximum of 10 people in the building at one time.  Masks must be worn at all times, sanatize and sign in on arrival.  A funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 at 2:00 pm at All Saints Anglican Church in Stephenville Crossing by invite only.  Cremation will take place and Interment will be at Mount Patricia Anglican Cemetery on Wednesday, July 14th at 2:00 pm.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.


As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church, Stephenville Crossing.
