It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stewart William Pinsent announce his passing on Sunday, July 12th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 89 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughters: Elaine (David) Taylor, Glenda (Stephen) Specker and Denise (David) Bennett; grandchildren: Kristina (Stephen) Taylor-Norman, Amanda Taylor, Scott Specker, Eugene Taylor and Stephanie Specker; great-grandsons: Morgan Taylor-Norman and Logan Taylor-Norman; sisters-in-law: Frances (Cliff) Sansome, Maisie Vater, Gloria (Derek) Lewis, Shirley Peddle, Marjorie Pinsent and Katie Pinsent; brothers-in-law: James (Minie) Peddle and Douglas (Charlotte) Peddle. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Maxine Pinsent (Nee Peddle), May 24th, 2006, parents Frank and Agnes Pinsent, sisters Marie and Katie, brothers Nehemiah, Roland, Morley and Jonathan. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 14th at 2:00 PM from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Curling with Rev. Karen Laldin officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital or to a Charity of One’s Choice.
