December 27, 1948 – July 14, 2021

It is with deep sorrow and sadness of heart that the family of Frank Maxwell Batt announce his peaceful passing at the New Western Long Term Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the age of 72, surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves to mourn, his wife of 52 years, Mary (nee Companion), sons Neil of Osoyoos , BC, and Eric (Amy) of Grand Prairie, AB, his grandchildren Nicholas, Logan, Abbie and his beloved furry companion for 8 years, Chloe, his brothers Sam, John (Anne Marie), Gordon (Judy), Terry (Louise) of Corner Brook,  his sisters Joan of Texas, Ena (Ray) of St. John's and Mary (Derrick) of Corner Brook, sisters-in-law Glenys Batt of Toronto, ON, Clara Gillingham, Jean Tipple and Mary Companion of Corner Brook, Barbara Johnson (Robert) of Fredericton, NB, and brother-in-law Gerald Companion (Susan) of Scarborough, ON, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his son Robert, his parents Marjorie and Russell Batt, brothers Byron and Jim, brother-in-law Richard, sisters -in-law Viora, Elizabeth and Dale, parents -in-law Mary and Vincent Companion, sisters-in- law Nora, Joan, Kathleen, Dorothy, and Violet, brothers-in-law Leo, Gordon, Robert, Jim, Harold, Alex, Frank and Clive.

Following Frank's wishes, cremation has taken place entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook. A graveside burial service will be held on Friday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. at MountPatricia Cemetery, with Rev. Cynthia Haines Turner officiating..

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Western Health Long Term Palliative Care Unit.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Leon, Dr. Dunn, Dr. Eaton and all the nursing angels for their care and compassion for Frank during his final days of life.

No matter where we are, you will always be with us in spirit and in love.
