CECIL MARY ANDERSON CORNER BROOK, NL Passed peacefully on Thursday, July 16th, 2009, Cecil Mary Anderson age 81, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Cecil was born in Corner Brook on September 8th, 1927. She had a long history of employment first with Herdman Collegiate, Steers Insurance and finally retired from the Woods Department at Bowater’s. Cecil served five years with the Royal Canadian Air force. She is predeceased by her parents, Harry V. And Alice Anderson. Leaving to mourn are sisters: Margaret Anderson, Corner Brook, Jean Regan (Parker), Windsor, NS, and brother Gordon (Sheila), Hantsport, NS; nephews, Stephen Anderson (Monica), Cow Head and Paul Anderson (Brenda), Gander. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday evening from 7-9:00 P.M. followed by the Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 21 at 11:00 A.M from Fillatre’s Chapel, St. Marks Avenue. Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating, interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Newfoundland and Labrador Heart & Stroke Foundation.
