It is with great sadness that the family of the late Loretta Joan Berkshire announce her passing on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 77 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sisters: Stella (George), Verna (Ward), Ruth and Mavis (Mike); brothers: Eric and Hedley; sisters-in-law: Ida, Alvina and Lorraine; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Berkshire, parents Alfred and Jessie Stone, brothers Ralph (Lorraine), Paul, John and Lloyd, sister Edna (Ellison). A very special thank you to the Doctors, nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive with Pastor Patrick O’Brien officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
