Sept. 30, 1939 – July 25, 2021

 

Delphine Joan Hulan passed away peacefully at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL on July 25th, 2021 at the age of 81 years.  She will be forever missed and loved by her children Cynthia (Jim) Penney of St. David’s, Ricky (Rosalie), Perry (Doreen), all of St. David’s and Alan (Tammy) Hulan of Baltimore, Ontario, as well as her Son-in-law Wayne Matchem. Her grandchildren: Robin, Marcel and Brad Matchem, Ross, Clifton and Josh Penny, Chelsea & Robert Hulan and Kendra Hulan, Her 16 Great Grandchildren, Her sisters Vina (Ron) Pieroway, Rona (Harold) Cross, Rose (Charlie) Snow and her Brothers Robert (Elaine) Alley and Eric Alley, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

 

She was pre-deceased by her Husband of 25 years, Robert Hulan, her daughter Brenda Matchem and grandson Rodger Hulan.  Joan as everyone knew her, loved to knit and cook for her family and friends.  She was very much a part of the ACWA in her younger years and loved to knit for NONIA.  They will miss her knitted goods for sure.

 

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at St. David’s Anglican Cemetery on Thursday, July 29th, 2021.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the St. Michael’s & All Saints Memorial Fund in St. David’s, NL.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
