August 30, 1938 – July 24, 2021

It is with profound shock and sadness that we regretfully announce the sudden passing of our beautiful Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the age of 82. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Donna Wells (Glen), Darryl (Nola), and Debbie; grandchildren: Natalie Park (Allan), Neil Wells (Pamela), Kelowna, BC, David (DJ) Pike, Rebecca (Becky) McHugh, Evan McHugh (Hailey); great grandchildren: Sadie Park and Rosie Park; special friend Roland Cunning, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene, 2009, beloved son David, 1986, parents Jack & Sadie Dwyer, brother Robert (Bob) Dwyer.

Betty was very involved and an active member of the community. She was a member of the Curling TOPS group for 50 years, she enjoyed her 2 bowling leagues, she was a member of the Westmount Club.  She was a devoted member of Memorial United Church where she offered her talent as organist and held the position of Assistant Treasurer. She was a very kind and giving person who without hesitation continually gave of herself. She supported many charitable organizations in whatever way she could.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 pm, to a maximum of 25 people at a time in compliance with Covid-19 regulations, masks are a requirement. Due to Covid-19 Government Restrictions a private Funeral Service for immediate family will take place on Thursday, July 29^th at 2:00 pm from Memorial United Church at 2:00 pm with Reverend Jocelyn Cook officiating, followed by interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
