I was so saddened to hear of Nathan’s sudden passing. I have so many memories of his big smile and vibrant personality. I always loved catching up with him whenever we got to visit over the many, many years that I have known the Cutler clan. He had a gift for making you feel like he had all the time in the world to chat with you. My condolences to you all, I know he will be missed dearly.

Sincere condolences to all of Nathan’s family. Nathan lived life to the fullest and did everything with gusto, from the little freckle-faced boy on Beach Road to a fully ordained priest. I looked forward every Sunday to his online sermons since Covid. He will certainly be missed on the Ramea site…..we had many a conversation there! I hope all the wonderful memories you have made over the years will give you comfort. We have to live every day the best we can because we are never promised tomorrow. My deepest and sincerest condolences to Norman and all the family on the passing of a loved one. I remember meeting him a few years ago in Forteau and I was struck by his joy of life and his voice that sounded so much like Norman that I said, “If I was speaking with you on the telephone, I could not tell the difference.May God cover you with his grace and love as you walk this path of grief. May your strength be found in believing that his sail has been lifted.

I have had the privilege to know the Cutler family for most of my adult life as Michelle and I would make regular trips up to 'Uncle Nathan's' in Fredericton. I am not sure if it was the tremendous hospitality, genuine kindness or the great food and conversation which kept me coming back? I always felt comfortable in their house, relaxed, calm and welcomed. Nathan had a gift of creating a 'safe space' to talk, never judging and he always appreciated what I had to say. I thoroughly enjoyed those chats and I will miss them. My heart goes out to Isabelle, who has lost her soul-mate but she is blessed to have three wonderful children who will be there to guide her through this terrible grief and help her as her journey of life continues.
Thank you for being in my life Uncle Nathan...I am a better person for having known you.

Like many, I was in shock when I heard the sad news... I had no idea that Nathan was ill so news of his passing came as a terrible surprise. Over the past 2 days I have been pouring over the msgs that we exchanged over the years - mostly about Ramea, of course, but also about other areas of mutual interest. Nathan was a seeker of knowledge...it inspired him and it energized him. He followed my travels on FB over the years and often had inquiries about photos that I posted or comments that I made. He had such an inquisitive mind that it was sometimes hard to keep up with him. I think he had a special bond with a lot of people because of his curious nature and his devilish personality. I say that because, as many know, he loved to tell stories and always found a way to add humor to everything and have a good laugh...sometimes at his own expense. I always found him to be larger than life...he had a presence that I have never really been able to explain. The last time I saw him (and Isabel) was months ago at Coleman's here in Stephenville. I was ahead in the line but a wise crack from the rear announced his presence. A brief encounter... but ample time to reminiscence and have a laugh as other shoppers meandered past us. That was Nathan...always up for a yarn with anybody and everybody. A pretty decent bloke he was...and he will be missed by many. My condolences to Isabel and to all his family and close friends. May his memory bring peace & love to your hearts - I am sure that is exactly what he would have wanted. Godspeed my friend... RIP
