Obituary of Stella Ruth Jane Hancock

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stella Hancock announce her passing at Corner Brook Long Term Care on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the age of 101 years. She leaves to mourn sons, Clayton (Edith), Lorne (Judy), both of Corner Brook; daughter Greta (Alton, deceased), of Pasadena; grandchildren: Gerry, Darren, Jonathan, Tiffany, Lori, Ron, Denise, Danielle, Debbie, Tom; 16 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald; parents Suzanna and Gilbert Davis; great-granddaughter Megan; as well as her brothers and sisters. Visitation will take place at  Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday August 5, from 7-9 pm to a maximum of 30 people at a time, in compliance with Covid-19 regulations, masks are required. The funeral service will take place on Friday, August 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Avenue to a maximum of 55 people, with Reverend Deacon Cynthia Haines Turner officiating, with internment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.

The Hancock Family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to all of the staff at Corner Brook Long Term Care, 3 South Unit.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care Unit.
