It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myrtle “Marina” Hampton announce her passing on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 83 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 65 years Reginald; sons: Terry (Debbie), David (Jackie) and Peter (Debra); daughter-in-law Juanita; grandchildren: Christopher, Melissa, Nicole, Frank, Chantel, Cullan, Terri-Lynn, Rebecca and Jordan; great-grandchildren: Avery, Bridgett, Kaylie, Joshua, Kylew, Ryan, Aiden, Abby, Hunter, Linna, Zaria, Mya and Ava; brother Jack (Edith) Abbott; sister Joyce Chaulk; brothers-in-law: Lloyd (Roma) Hampton and Carl (Anita) Hampton; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Ross, grandson Jeremy, parents Joseph and Gladys Abbott, sister Debbie Abbott, brother-in-law Tom Chaulk, parents-in-law George and Elfreda Hampton. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with a maximum of 30 people in the building at once. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street with Rev. van Vliet officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to First United Church Memorial Fund.
