Obituary of the late Verna Olive Broomfield

July 16, 1946 – August 13, 2021

It is with great sadness the family of the late Verna Olive Broomfield announce her passing on August 13, 2021, at the Labrador Health Centre, HVGB at the age of 75 years.  She will be sadly missed by her husband Abe, Children; Susan (Rick), Karen (Garth), Todd (Maxine), Amanda (Tom), Grandchildren; Angela, Kyle, Justin, Brianna, Brendan (MaryAnn), Samantha (Jesse), Teri-Lynn, Clinton, Dillon, Michael, Kayla, (Katie, deceased);  Great Grandchildren; Isaiah, Caleb, Gage, Killian, Anastasija,  Joshua, Breyann, Gemma, Rilee, Caden, Colby and Lilly;  Great-Great Grandchild; Everleigh, Brothers; Maxwell (Yula) Lush, Claude (Faye) Lush, Lloyd (Benitta) Lush, Sisters: Violet Peddle, Nell (Cal) Oram, Beulah (Gerald) Goodland, Ann (Harvey) Saunders and Nellie (Calvin Orman), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was predeceased by her parents Pierce and Edith Lush and her sister Daisy Leonard.

Visitation will take place Saturday, August 14 at Fillatres Funeral Home, HVGB, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 and on Sunday, August 15, 2-4.  Funeral service will be held on Monday August 16th at 2:00 P.M. from the Salvation Army, with Major Keene officiating with the interment to follow at the Salvation Army cemetery.

Special thanks to the nursing staff of the Labrador Health Centre and her Dr.’s for looking after her.
