Burgeo, NL.
In great sadness and broken hearts, we the family of the late Douglas Martin Pink of Burgeo, NL. announce his peaceful passing at the Calder Health Care Centre on August 23, 2021 at the age of 63.
Left to mourn with many fond and happy memories are his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Nina; his daughter Gabrielle, son-in-law Sheldon and Poppy’s Sugar – his beautiful granddaughter Abigail.
Also left to mourn are his four brothers: Lorne (Barb), Maxwell Jr. (Doris), Corwin (Brenda) and Terry (Maria); his brother-in-law John (Daphne), sisters-in-law Ena (Ivan), Josephine, Maxine (Levi), Beatrice (Dave), Betty (Bob), Flora (Henry), Queenie, Carol Anne and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and many other friends who are like family.
Douglas was predeceased by his loving parents Maxwell Sr. and Mary Pink, his brother Gerald and sister-in-law Ada; father-in-law Isaac, mothers-in-law Maisie and Minnie, brother in-law Melvin and other special relatives and friends who he loved dearly.
Douglas will be forever remembered for his easy going, happy go lucky, no sweat, no worry attitude. He was most happy spending time with his family who he loved more than life itself. He loved adventures at the cabin on his snowmobile, which he managed to get stuck quite often, and his side by side. He was also quite content to sit in his chair reading one of his many books or watching a movie. Douglas loved life, and our lives will be forever changed without him.
If anyone would like to drop by our home to visit and share a story or two with us, we will be hosting a visitation on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9. There will be a service of remembrance on Thursday, August 26th at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church. Covid restrictions will be followed.
