It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stephen Gerald (Gerry) Rowsell announce his passing on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 92 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 68 years Bernice; children: Stella (Robert) Wells, Brian (Annette) Rowsell and Todd Rowsell; grandchildren: Lori (Kevin), Robyn (Tyler), Tara (Brandon) and Scott (Christine); great-grandchildren: Jared, Sloan, Levi and Remy; sisters and brothers-in-law: Marjorie Rowsell, Julia (Ralph) Morey and George King; as well as nieces, nephews and two great pals Roland Cunning and Monty Brockway. He was predeceased by his son Gerald (Junior), daughter Katherine, parents Stephen and Ethel, brothers Patrick, Alphonse and Gerard, sisters Stella, Patricia, Bernice (Bun) and Sheila. A special thank you to all the nurses and staff at the 4th floor Dialysis Unit, the 1st and 3rd floors of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Doctors Fudge and Thistle, and to the nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit. “All of you are Angels”.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Parish, Curling with Father Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Cecilia Cemetery, Curling. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request. Donations can be made to Sacred Heart Parish, 465 Curling Street.
