Dorothy Juanita (Porter) Lilly

January 17, 1936 – September 24, 2021

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Dorothy Juanita Lilly on September 24, 2021 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 85^th year. She leaves to mourn her son Donald Lilly and wife Tammy (Maynard); precious granddaughters, Rebecca and Alyssa Lilly; sister Margaret Hussey, brother -in-law Alex Noseworthy; sisters-in-law Lucy (McLeod-Lilly-Temple) and Mildred (Snooks-Lilly-Sturgess), special nephews: Blake Young & Hayward Lilly; special nieces: Yolanda Brake, Rachel Roberts and Lisa Lilly; special friends: Maxine Crossley and Barbara Clarke, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Lilly;  infant son; parents Blandford and Rachel (Hunt) Porter; father and mother-in-law Hayward and Ida (Butt) Lilly; brothers: Mundon Porter and wife Lola (Brake),  Gordon Porter and wife Naomi (Musseau); sisters: Mary Ellen Noseworthy, Roberta Hussey and husband John, Barbara Young (James Young); brothers-in-law William Hussey, Samuel, Chester, David and Ronald Lilly, Harold Saddler and wife Maime (Lilly), Alan Hollett and wife Alice (Lilly), Oscar Krachling and wife Queena (Lilly). Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Saturday from 7-9pm and Sunday from 2-4 pm to a maximum of 30 visitors at a time and masks are mandatory in compliance with Covid-19 regulations. Funeral Service will be Monday, September 27 at 2:00 pm to a maximum of 100 people from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Curling Street with Rev. Deacon Cynthia Haines-Turner officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Diabetes foundation,  www.diabetes.ca , Curling Lions or St. Mary’s Church. Special thanks to Curling Lion’s Club, Corner Brook Elk’s Club and their helpers for the kindness and help to Mom at the Bingos. The Funeral Service will be live streamed on Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd. facebook page for those who are unable to attend.
