Charlie and Goldie Hallett were wonderful friends to our family when we were living in Robinson’s. They were a beautiful family and Charlie’s smile always lit up a room. They loaned us his camper to go on holidays one summer and we had such a great time. We shared many meals and and many stories over the years. Sending Steven, Pernell, Wayne and Jeffery and their families our heartfelt condolences. Charlies passing has left a definite void in the community of st.georges. Every blessing, from the Collett family, Rev. Lloyd, Velma, Michele, Michael and Melanie.

I am so sad to hear of Charlie's passing. He and his wife Goldie were friends and neighbours who lived across the road from my mother. They looked after mother for many years when she was living alone. Charlie was a real kind and gentle person.
The beautifful photograph in his obituary say's it all about his love for the sea and his treasured collection of antique "make and break" engines.

My sincere condolences to all the Hallett families. I grew up with the Hallett boys and Charlie and Goldie were like second parents to me in those days. Many great times! Many fond memories! Charlie was a kind man, a true gentleman and was respected by all. Rest in peace my friend.

The Hallett household was like my second home growing up and being a close friend and neighbor to Jeffrey, I was able to tag along on all of the adventures and fun that they had. From riding out in the putt-putt boat, taking up lobster pots, fishing, skidooing, camping, clearing off the ponds for a skate, having boil ups, travelling across the island, singing and dancing to the tunes of the 50’s, to the countless summer nights in the camper and at the Hacienda playing cards and sitting around a campfire sharing stories and laughter . So many of my fondest childhood memories such as these, include Charlie & Goldie and my life was enriched by their kindness and love. I will always remember and be grateful for these memories and the influence that Charlie had on my life. I will miss his hearty laugh, his sweet smile, his funny jokes and gentle, kind heart. I want to extend my deepest condolences to Goldie, Stephen, Pernell, Wayne, Jeffrey and all of their families. May the beautiful memories that you’ve created together and your love for each other be a support for you during this difficult time. Sending love, Stacy-Lou.

We were sad to hear that Charlie had passed. We enjoyed the time that we spent with him and Goldie over the past years during our summer visits to St. George's. We enjoyed Charlie's stories, his knowledge, his humour and the friendship we shared. Our thoughts are with Goldie and all the Hallett family at this time. RIP my friend and thank you for your friendship and all you did for us, you will be missed.

Charlie was one of the finest men in our town and always ready to lend a helping hand here he was during our blueberry festival waiting to start another job we could always count on him and Goldie for anything
