Obituary of Garfield George Dyke

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Garfield George Dyke announce his passing on October 5th, 2021 at his home in Sheshatshiu at the age of 68. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his partner Mary Margret Mark. Children Betty Sillitt (Kiel), Christopher Dyke (Antonia) and Harry (Mary Madeline). Grandchildren Shuashem, Josh, Tamarah, Sean, Kelly, Jasimen, Devon, Ivan, Dennis, Kuekuatsheu, Kiel Jr., Kianna, Holden and great-grandchildren Vaden, Kingston and Kylo. Brothers Guy (Debora), Gord (Maddona), Terry (Ronnie), Steve (Nicole). Sisters Donna (Jack) and Margret (Daniel). As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was pre-deceased by his wife Mary Dyke, parents Harry & Susan Dyke, and brothers Ivan & Bill. He will be especially missed by his doggy Pretty.
Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Thursday, October 7th, 2021, from 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on October 9th, 2021 at the Roman Catholic Church in Sheshatshiu with Father Joe Pichai officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Daffodil Place in St. John’s, NL in his memory. Special thanks to Dr. Joanne McGee and Liz Michelin and health staff of Mani Ashini Clinic.
