February 19, 1937 – October 9, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nelson Thomas Tulk announce his peaceful passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on October 9, 2021.  Nelson was born and raised in Carmanville NL.  He was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. Nelson cared deeply for his family and his large circle of friends. He was a proud long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Whenever there was a helping hand needed, Nelson was there to help and never wanted anything in return.   He loved animals, fishing, hunting, berry picking with his family by his side .There was always provision for his family and he guided them the best way he knew how. The love he had for each and everyone of them was unconditional.

Nelson was predeceased by his wife Doris Tulk; parents: Nathaniel and Ida Blanche Tulk; brothers: Elias , Wallace, Norman, and Curtis; sisters: Margorie , Stella; step-grandchildren:  Angel, Ashton Keough. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his spouse Jacquelyn Hynes ; children: Alvin Tulk (Marcy) , Ricky Tulk Sr. (Diane), Palma Quilty, Evelina Chaulk (Patrick) Ricky Tulk Jr, Edward Ruth , and Brent Hynes ( Tammy); 11 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; sister Wilma King , Bessie Ginn, sisters- in- law: Patricia, Kathleen Tulk (Norman) , Leta Hodder, Mildred Payne (Newmen);  brother- in- law: Verdon Francis (Jean) and  a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  Special mentions: to a  great- granddaughter Danielle Hynes RN for all of her love, dedication and medical care , beloved fur baby Lady Tulk .

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Charity of One"s Choice

Visitation, Monday, October 11, 2021, 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 P.M. at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Cox"s Cove, NL.

Funeral to follow, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 2:00 P.M. at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
