It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Diane Sheppard on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 at the age of 65 years. Diane was a nurturing and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, step sister, sister-in-law and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband William Mullins, daughter Margo (Anthony Hann), son Mark (Natasha Stewart); stepchildren: Greg (Paulette) Mullins, Jim (Lori) Mullins, and Donny (Kristine Bacala); grandchildren: Mackenzie (Ethan), Isabella, James, Randy; step-grandchildren: Natasha (Steve), Rebecca, Gillian, Gabrielle, Broady, William and Amelia; great step-grandchildren: Avery, Ella and Quinn; her step father Hedley Saunders; brothers Norman (Holly) and Ben (Glenda Kettle); sister Donna (Joe Jones); sister-in-law Janie Sheppard, along with immediate family we want to include; the Saunders Family, her husband William Mullins Family and her late husband Randy Sheppard’s family , many nieces, nephews, cousins, best friends Judy (Harold) Lidstone and Bridget Meaney, along with a large circle of friends and family in Lark Harbour and surrounding area, far and beyond.

Diane is predeceased by her parents Reginald Sheppard and Rhoda Saunders Sheppard Childs, late husband Randy Sheppard, brother Aubrey Sheppard, step-brother David Saunders, father-in-law John Sheppard, mother-in-law Elizabeth Sheppard, brother-in-law Darren Sheppard and special friend Joann Sequin.

Visitation will take place from St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour on Wednesday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, October 15th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Effie Organ officiating. The interment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Volunteer File Dept. of York Harbour/Lark Harbour or the charity of one’s choice.

We are in shock with Diane’s passing just after celebrating Thanksgiving. Her love for life and her family will be cherished forever. Her hospitality was so giving and she truly had a heart of gold.

In keeping with Covid 19 restrictions, masks must be kept on during the visitation and funeral service and practice social distancing.
