It is with great sadness that the family of the late Calvin Hynes announce his passing on October 22, 2021 at Labrador Grenfell Health in Goose Bay at the age of 85. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Emma, Lillian (Wayne), Ivina, Pearce, Victor (Debra), Paul, Jerry, Judy, Sedella (Mitch), Kathy (Derek), Jane (Ross), Roy (Denise), Roger (Saori), Gary (Catherine), 33 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends. He was predeceased by his wife Florence (Hoddinott), sons Allister, William (Burry), daughter Isabelle, grandson Shawn (Scott), Mother Rhoda and grandparents Manuel and Christine Hynes.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank-you” to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Labrador Grenfell Health Hospital in Happy Valley Goose Bay for all of their care and support during this time.

As per the families wishes, cremation is set to take place with a burial to follow at a later date in Little Burnt Bay, NL.
