Glenys Alley

December 27, 1951 – October 30, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Glenys Dorothy Alley (nee Noseworthy) announce her sudden passing on Saturday October 30th at the Health Science Center, St. John’s.

Loving wife of Martin Alley, cherished mother of Murray (Rosalind) and Jeffrey (Michelle), treasured Nan to Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Alexander, Nolan, beloved daughter of Gwendolene and the late Theodore Noseworthy, dearest sister of Derek (Ruby), Craig (Wanda), Dawn (David) and Heather (Andrew).

Her door was always open for her large circle of precious nieces and nephews who were all her favourite.  Her family was her passion and her focus, and we are forever grateful.

Glenys spent many hours volunteering in the community.  She was known by all for her genuine pleasure in spending time with all of her cadets and her willingness to help where needed.  She was a kind, compassionate woman who always put others before herself.  She will remain in our hearts forever.

A service will be held on Friday November 5th at 2pm at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, St. David’s with an interment at St George Anglican cemetery in Robinson’s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Glenys’ name to the Kidney Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Anglican Church, Robinson’s or St. David’s, or a charity of one’s choice.

Death leaves a heartache nothing can heal, love leaves memories nothing can steal
