It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peter Michael Whiteley announce his passing on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Shirley (nee Drover); children: Michael (Paula), Jenny (Mike), Craig and David (Melley); step-children: Donna (Andrea), Vanessa (Greg), Claudette (Greg) and David (Natasha); 3 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren and beloved dog Cassie. He was predeceased by his parents and brother. Peter was born in Huddersfield, England and immigrated to Canada in 1965. He worked in various locations throughout the Province. Retiring in December 2006 from the City of Corner Brook after working 22 years. In his spare time, Peter enjoyed working with electronics, reading, gardening and cooking delicious meals for family and friends. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 10 from the hours of 2-4 p.m. Cremation to follow. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Pastor Larry Soper officiating. Due to Government regulations face mask and Vaccine Passports will be required for entry of the visitation and funeral service. Interment to take place at a later date.
