Obituary of John Gordon Manuel

John Gordon Manuel

May 30, 1960 – October 3, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of John Gordon Manuel of Corner Brook, NL announce his peaceful passing in Blairmore, Alberta on October 3^rd, 2021 at the age of 61.  He leaves to mourn his sister, Christine Manuel.  Also leaving to mourn his uncles and aunts, Tom (Elizabeth) Tobin, British Columbia, Elizabeth (Joe) Vecchione, New York, Gerald (Audrey) Tobin, Ontario, Helen (Alan) Thompson, Ontario, Gertrude Rodgers, Florida and a large number of cousins and friends.  He was predeceased by his father, Everett Gordon Manuel in 1976 and his mother Marie Manuel (Tobin), in 2014. 

John was a graduate of Regina High School and was a skilled athlete in his youth.  John was a supporter of Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta.  He was an avid wildlife photographer and loved the mountain scenery of Alberta and British Columbia.   

The Mass of Christian Burial has been held at Tshitshitua Shushep Roman Church, Sheshatshiu, with Father Joe Pichai officiating.  The interment in Mount Patricia Cemetery will occur on a future date.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Fantins Funeral Home of Blairmore and acknowledge the kindness of Regina Vinge in particular.

We seem to give them back to you, O God, Who gave them to us; yet as You did not lose them in the giving, so we do not lose them by their return.
