Remona Mary Hynes nee Tourout was born on December 7th, 1959 in Picadilly, NL and passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, November 27, 2021 in Piccadilly, NL at the age of 61 years.
A loving mother to two daughters, Tara (Robin) Ball of Fort McMurray, Alberta and Trina Hynes of Corner Brook.
She was an awesome mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and friend. Remona was a loving mother/grandmother who adored her family whom she was always so nurturing, kind and put everyone before herself. She loved to run around her grandchildren, cook suppers for her large extended family and friends, play rummoli, darts, pool and pick berries.
Mona was well known in the community and to her family as “Moosie”. She was extremely hard working and one to take initiative in any tasks given, especially in sports as a kid. Every time someone had connected with Mona, they had felt her big supportive heart and left with a smile. She frequently worked/volunteered at the Port au Port West 50 + Club, Brownies, darts, Piccadilly High and was known to be fun and entertaining. Mona also spent her time taking care of friends and family in time of need and working at Pick-a-dilly lounge.
She leaves to mourn Michael Hynes; daughters: Tara (Robin) Ball, Trina Hynes; grandchildren: Taylor, Trista, Tanner (Renee) Benoit, Jesse Ball, Autumn, Alex, Scarlett, Jaxen Hynes; her brothers and sisters: Robert Tourout, Douglas Tourout, June (Joey)Woods, Catherine (Dave) Tourout, Partena (Damien) Flynn, Dervilla (Gareth) Hanmer, Glenda (Glen) Benoit, and a large extended family. She predeceased by her parents Marguerite and John Tourout, sister baby girl Tourout, baby Gordon, and sister-in-law Flourence Tourout.
Cremation has taken place at the Humber Valley Crematorium & Memorialization, Pasadena, NL. Funeral and burial will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL.
