ELIZABETH “BETTY” MURPHY Corner Brook, NL October 1st, 1955 - August 12th, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Murphy announce her passing on Wednesday, August 12th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 53 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Brian, daughter Veronica Murphy (Dale Meyer), mother Elizabeth Parsons, sisters and brothers: Shirley Cook (Hayward), Eric Parsons (Betty), Bill Parsons (Eileen), Pam Knox (Vernon), Daisy Nolan (Don), Charlie Parsons (Susan), Bernice Comeau (Gary), Mary Ulmer (Harley), Lloyd Parsons and Audrey Crockwell (Michael), sisters and brothers-in-law: Lillian Murphy, Winnie Mullaly (Ed), May O’Driscoll (Cyril), Kenneth Murphy, Larry Murphy (Dianne), Brenda Penney (Jim), Linda Oliver (Aiden), Sharon Humpheries (Pat), Rita Murphy, Ernest Murphy, Ron Murphy, Donna Woodworth (Greg) and Michelle Rideout (Rick), special friends: Brenda Janes (Jed Turpin), Terry and Lee Ezekiel. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Charles Parsons, brother Chesley Parsons, parents-in-law Thomas and Sadie Murphy, sister-in-law Janet Murphy and brother-in-law John Murphy. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15th at 2:00 PM from Fillatre’s Chapel. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy flowers or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
