Marie Moore

March 23, 1929 – November 24, 2021

The family of the late Marie Moore (nee Daniels) announce her passing on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Age Care Glenmore, Calgary AB at the age of 92 years. Marie was born in Corner Brook, March 23, 1929. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: William (Carol), Michael (Moira), and John (Ann); brother Tom Daniels (Marie);  8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren;  as well as a circle of nieces, nephews,  other relatives and friends.  She was predeceased by her husband Kevin, parents Sophie and Peter Daniels, brothers Peter Daniels (Jean), George Daniels and sister-in-law  Marina.  A special thank you to niece Michelle Daniels for caring for her while she was in Corner Brook, and to the staff of Age Care Glenmore.

Marie was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and was a devoted volunteer with the Western Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed golf, crossing country skiing, and afternoon bridge games with her friends. Marie had a passion for history and music. She loved to travel and read and was known for her quick mind, good humour, and her kind and compassionate spirit for her friends and community.

In keeping with her wishes cremation has already taken place.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 23 at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Parish, Humber Road with Father Anthony Au officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
