Obituary of Shirley Alyward

It is with broken hearts and great sadness that we the family of the late Shirley Alyward annouce her passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre on Dec. 4th 2021 at the age of 46 years.  Shirley was known as a kind hearted and generous lady with a beautiful smile.  She had a smile for everyone.  She dearly loved her work with Parks Canada for 17 years.  Shirley loved the outdoors and meeting people from all over the world.  She loved hiking/walking while sharing her most beautiful pictures for everyone to see.  Shirley showed a keen eye for nature.  She loved to travel. 

Shirley leaves to mourn her Dear Mother Mary, her special uncle Edmund who she adored, as well as her Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends, her good friend Loretta Decker and a very large circle of friends / co-workers with Parks Canada.  Shirley is predeceased by Father Francis Bromley, Special Nan Irene, Nan and Pops.                                                                                   

Visitation to take place at the Roman Catholic Church in Port au Choix;  Monday, Dec. 6th @ 7pm - 9pm.  Tuesday, Dec.7th @ 9am- 4pm, Family Service @ 7pm. Wednesday, Dec. 8th @ 11am Funeral Mass/ Celebration of Life.  Interment to follow at Sandy Cove Interfaith Cemetery.  Father Raj. officiating. The church will be adhering to the Faith - Based Option:  50% Capacity, Non-Medical Masks to be worn at all times, Physical Distancing, and Contact Information Recorded
